Applications are invited from postdoctoral candidates for a temporary 48-month post of Research Associate within the School of Philosophy at University College Dublin, Ireland.

The Research Associate is expected to have completed a PhD in Philosophy (or related humanities discipline) and  should have prior research experience in the history of philosophy, preferably with focus on early modern women philosophers and have research interests in eighteenth-century British moral philosophy.

To mark the start of the 5 year ERC project, we hosted a project launch on Thursday 23 October 2025 which was well attended by the project team, colleagues and friends. Professor Niamh Moore Cherry, Dean of Social Sciences and College Principal in the UCD College of Social Sciences and Law, was on hand to introduce the project and offer words of encouragement. A series of informative posters were displayed around the event space.
